In the current economic climate fast, robust company development is more important than ever. We need innovative companies emerging with big ideas for a global market. Our programme of support has been developed to address the specific needs of golbally focused start up companies around the following core areas:
-
High Quality Enterprise Development Training Programme
The approach of the Propel programme is based upon a series of workshops across both phases of delivery. Each workshop will act as a 'building block' of knowledge, awareness and skills. The workshops have highly relevant content and will take you step-by-step through the process.
-
Mentor Support
The mentors appointed to the Propel programme have all been selected because of their track record in building an international business from a Northern Ireland or the UK base.
Mentors within the programme will work both on a one-to-one basis and within a team setting with participants providing expert advice. Mentors will be sourced specifically for each participant to ensure that the most appropriate match is made between mentor and participant.
The role of the mentor will be to challenge and support participating entrepreneurs to develop sustainable and competitive businesses. The mentor will maintain a detailed working knowledge of the participant's business position and product or service and will support in the development of a robust business plan. A key role of the mentor is to provide independent, professional one-to-one business advice on a confidential basis to participants.
-
Business Networks
Networking is at the core of Propel. Making connections with the right people, partners and companies is a proven way to accelerate your business idea. The Propel network will act as a social hub, where we will invite key players across Northern Ireland to come meet the Propel participants. We will actively seek opportunities for Propel participants to take part in networking opportunities.
-
Salary Support Grant
The programme also offers potential financial support . Payment of instalments will be agreed with eligible participants and is contingent on attendance at programme training and events in Phase 2 of the programme.
